What would happen if we set out one morning on a train journey without knowing where we were going?
We decided to find out.
It all sounds very carefree but there are some practical problems to overcome: ‘on the day’ train fares are very expensive for long journeys for a start! But we have simplified our approach so our destination is still a mystery until we buy the tickets.
Each place provides a different kind of inspiration. We don’t know what we will find when we get there, what we will feel about it, let alone what work we might produce as a result. Here are highlights of our visits so far.

West Drayton, Middlesex in December 2018
Watford, Hertfordshire in November 2018
